Fundraising begins for Carlisle one-year-old diagnosed with rare cancer

One-year-old Oliver Lancaster was diagnosed at just 11 months old.

Carlisle has come together to support a one-year-old boy diagnosed with a rare form of cancer.

Oliver Lancaster was diagnosed with intermediate risk Neuroblastoma, aged just 11 months old, in March.

His dad Michael, 28, is a chocolatier at Castle Chocolates on Fisher Street, and works with owner Keith Tattersal.

Keith, 35, wanted to do something to help the family, and raise money for charity. He said: ‘It was horrific to hear that of any child, but someone close to you is heart breaking because there’s only me and him that work there, I feel like I’m part of the family.

5 hospitalized after electrical fire at Pendleton prison

PENDLETON, Ind. — Five people were taken to the hospital after an electrical fire broke out at the Pendleton Correctional Facility on Tuesday.  According to the Indiana Department of Correction, the fire started in the afternoon. None of the people taken to the hospital were incarcerated. DOC did not share the size of the fire or what condition the five people who were injured are in.  A DOC spokesperson said the fire is under investigation.  The Pendleton Correctional Facility is a state prison located in Madison County about 25 miles northeast of Indianapolis.
